Garden Gallery: John Rocha’s Oasis In Provence

Good Monday Morning!

Watching the news this morning, I’ve got European vacations on the brain.  We saw the most recent news about Venice being under record high flood waters.   My kids were as tuned into this report as I was because we went there 2 years ago for thanksgiving – and they regard it as the best vacation ever, including the part where we regularly waded through flood waters.

John Rocha Garden Provence FranceI’m not sure how we might top that trip (we may never!), but lately I’ve been considering France.  So I thought I would make it an all France inspiration day.  First up is this great garden gallery of John Rocha’s personal  garden in the south of France.  Not sure if my kids would love such a place, but I sure would. -rochelle

Recycled Hydroponic Herb Gardens – Potting Shed Creations

Have you ever tried to grow basil indoors?  Maybe you have just tried to keep that plant you bought in the produce section alive?  I can attest, it’s not as easy as it seems.  I generally justify the slightly increased price of the plant over the cut herbs with a rationale about being fresher, because…

Wisteria Garden Goodies

There is a new crop of catalogs that have some nice items on offer.  One of them is called Wisteria.  They have a some items that would be fun to add to an outdoor room.  This table top topiary for cut flowers would be a really exciting centerpiece. These are my favorites in the outdoor…

A Garden Restaurant?

I love eating outdoors and professionally, hospitality gardens are kinda my thing….but I am not sure what to think of this one…. I love that Casa la Femme in NYC has created a garden space for their restaurant and I find the design enticing….seems like a beautiful space to gather with friends for Egyptian food…….
