Winter Whites

sparkly winter snow I’ve got lots of house guests and my holiday has been great so far (how has yours been?).

Tonight I am hosting my parents and some old friends for dinner…but only after we spend the day putting the new floor into the barn.   I am soooo excited for this project to be done!

There is snow on the ground here and it made me think of how lovely the color white can be….so there it is, the theme for today.  We are archive diving for posts on ‘White’  – I have some inspiration, some plants and a pretty white herb garden ahead.

Until tomorrow….when I will have a barn update.

A Presidential Garden in Honor of Presidents Day

I know it is a sort of a cliche post, but honestly I have had a bookmark to the NYT article about the Monticello garden for ages and have wanted to give a small shout out in its honor.   So really, forgive me of this presidents day obvious post and just sit back and enjoy…

Pretty Porta Potties, A New Trend for Landscape Contactors?

Is it possible that this is a new trend for contractors?  If you have been through a major construction project of any sort you probably had to live with the site of a porta potty in front of your home but blogger Grant Gibson noticed a new trend in his own San Francisco neighborhood …….

My Kind of Book – The Adventurous Gardener

Indigo Gardens just tweeted an excellent looking find – a book that I might just need to add to my library. Written by Ruah Donnelly, an attorney and Massachusetts neighbor, the Adventurous Gardener is a travel guide for New England gardeners to find some of the best, most unique and interesting nurseries. Always on the…
