Weekend Things

air traffic controller dave munro

I am spending this weekend in the garden (if that bitter wind would just stop!).  There is a mountain of compost/mulch (a 50/50 mix) on my driveway that I mindlessly threaten to hit with my car every time I pull out of the garage.   It needs to be spread and it’s going to take a while– a whole days work of weeding and spreading barely got me through a quarter of it.

have a great Sunday….

Ewe Garden Boots

I’m always on the lookout for my next pair of gardening boots.  These caught my eye this morning….I particularly like the cranberry color.  It is distinct and different without being too garish.  But the best part — they are lined with wool.  That’s a nice twist on the classic boot around this time of year….

The 2012 Garden Report: Part 2 – The ‘Do Overs’

How often do you get the chance, as an adult, to have a ‘Do Over’? In gardening it comes around at least once a year. These are my 2012 experiments that for one reason or another, I am calling ‘Do Over’, and will give it another go in 2013.  But next year I will be…

Brussels in Bloom Flower Carpet

Moments ago, one of my favorite clients just emailed me to see if we could create this.   I think she is joking — but I would love to give it a try!! I think I would need to call in some folks from the Rose Parade or something but what a fun opportunity to daydream…
