Ninagawa Mika is one of Japans most popular photographers. Her photos are beautiful looking things with acid colored plants, landscapes and flowers that I long to have in my collection. Cruising her website though, I found one of those ‘things’ (they pop up so unexpectedly sometimes) that will stick with me and be inspiration for my own future designs (whatever they may be)… and that is this picture. The colors are amazing and the symbolism of the tunnel (that to me, looks like walking down the inside of a giant artery) to arrive at a happy little ‘me’ on the other side is thought provoking. The heart of something. And it is outside for kids to play in, I love it.
I would love to hear from you about things that inspire you (design wise)…and why. Email me and I will post them.
