I live in the woods, which can take a little getting used to…in a gardening sense….I must learn to love shady acid loving plants, which is hard for me. But I am also fighting back…and though you wouldn’t know it to visit today, since we moved here we have removed about 40 trees (please understand- I am not a strip miner…they really are not missed). Now we have little pockets of sunshine, but I am desperate for more.
Our last tree removal effort was cheap (in dollars) as it involved a logger (who was paid in exchange for the trees that he cut down). We have a lot of very tall straight pines. After more than a year of backbreaking effort on our part to clear all the debris that he didn’t take, we got what we paid for. So I am hesitant to do it all again. But I saw this great bench and I think it is perfect for my place. So as I continue to strategically take down one tree at a time, I think we will try and create some seating around the garden and also save us some of the effort and cost of tree removal.
Treetrunk bench is available to buy from Wabnitz Editions.
