Have you ever imagined what your favorite bloggers might sound like if you had an actual conversation with them? In my recent blogging course, I had the opportunity to do just that, and it is funny to think what sticks with me….Holly Becker, author of Decor8 created podcasts for the class…her voice was more calm than I had imagined…but also she says ‘Decor – 8’ which I found funny because I always thought if it as ‘decorate’ – just spelled funny.
Anyway, I mention this because, if you want to, you can hear my voice now also…Chris Heiler made a podcast (my first!) called ‘Adventures in Blogging’ for the landscape industry and has posted it here on his site – Landscape Leadership. He interviewed myself and Susan Cohan of Miss Rumphius, and we had a nice conversation. It is on the free section of his site (I hope that isn’t because it’s not worth paying for!!)
So now that you can hear my voice, and therefore I think, have a more broad impression of me as a writer, I am curious if whatever impression you might have had about me before is the same or different after. I think it is interesting to know how different or the same your writing voice is from your actual voice. Comment if you have listened and have a thought. I am super curious.
Interesting podcast. I enjoyed hearing the different perspectives about the reasons for keeping a blog. BTW – I don’t think that there is much of a gap – if any – between your blog persona and your podcast persona. 🙂
