Is it no wonder you would grow up to be a landscape designer if this where your childhood garden. Wow, right?
Shellene is a landscape designer in San Diego and Villa de Flores – Rancho Santa Fe was Shellene’s childhood garden that she helped create. She was even married here (lucky) and now has opened it to other couples to use for their weddings.
Having a garden when you are child seems to be one of the most common traits among professional landscape and garden loving people. When you have a garden as a child, you are (I am convinced) so much more likely to have one as an adult. Of course I have no scientific data to back up this claim but don’t you agree?
You can see more of the this beautiful place at Shellene’s website.
Rochelle,
What a surprise to pull up your blog site (as I do every day) and see the garden I grew up in and help create. What an honor to be a story on your blog. Thank you! I had a lot of fun growing up here and a lot of weekends pulling weeds : ( , but i think it all turned out just right!!
Keep up the good work. I love your site.

I grew up in an entirely non-gardening family, and have been obsessed with plants and gardens since the time I could talk. Garden filled childhood or not, I think it is just something in the blood that will not be denied.
