Another kind of Garden…..

5/12/2010

This morning, I was reading the lovely blog of Constança called Siados da Concha when I saw these lovely images that she took out her English country side window and it reminded me….

…and now I am reminding you…that sometimes in the garden (and life) it is easier to work with what you have and recognize the beauty in everything rather than trying to move mountains (or at least lots of earth) to subscribe to the accepted version of a beautiful garden (or life).  I mean really…I know so many of you would cringe at all those dastardly dandelions….but look at it another way…and recognize that it is quite beautiful and as a designer I can find it hard to manufacture something that looks as well mixed and beautiful as this does naturally.

Those seed heads are devilishly effective but wow – so pretty too….

So…My thought for the day…..Weedy lawns can also be called wildflower gardens.

Spread the love
