I love when gardens are created to be so uniquely relevant to their creators. This putting green is actually quite pretty and I can imagine a sweet family hanging out having a meal, playing golf – everyone together.

Love this green, funny, we grew up with a putting green with 6 holes as a central feature in our yard. The odd thing was that no one in my fam played golf, yet we had special equipment to cut it with, mowers, rollers, trimmers, even the metal numbered poles, the holes, and flags ( for full effect, I guess), Since dad was as artist, I think he liked how it looked, all mowed in rows into a plaid circular velvety green carpet. They are lovely.
Finally, we had to let it go recently when the mowers broke ( they’re old, and too costly to replace), so the bent grass has gown up, and now, it’s just a plain ol lawn. I miss it, not only because it was part of my life for 50 years, ( inherited house from dad) but because it had been there since 1930, and now, it’s just a memory.
Hey, neighbor, thanks for the plug, I love your blog!
