This Garden in Caesarea, Israel surrounds the home of a father and his two sons. The color purple took 86 tries to match the inspiration — which was a favorite cigar. Just goes to show that inspiration is everywhere.

What do you think of this design? I have to admit, it is not the garden I would expect if I were given just the description of the homeowner. I am completely impressed by the creativity and choice of color, the clean lines and interesting architecture.
I’m loving the pop of purple. For a house full of guys it’s surprisingly feminine.
I find it unusual that people who live in Israel use grass turf to landscape their property. One would expect that the heat of the middle eastern summer would singe the grass. And I haven’t even touched upon the preciousness of water for irrigation in that part of the world.
Nice !! lovely garden…
