Sure, I enjoyed most every post from 2010 that you liked but a few others (in my mind) should have made the list of top traffic getters. They are the posts that I worked hardest on, or where I thought my personal brilliance shined through most….for me, its the stuff that I am most proud of and wished that everybody else recognized as being great too….
My list is made up those posts that I really enjoyed writing, I had fun with a few posts this last year and wanted to share those (again) that I liked and remembered above all else.
1.) Creating plant and pot combinations for the container garden designers roundtable opened even my own eyes to how planning something – like a particular ‘look’, can help to avoid the ‘grab what you can a the nursery and make it work’ look. I want to spend the time to source the materials for each of these 5 ‘Keep it Simple’ Container Garden Combos for my own garden.
2.) I put so much time into this post… An utterly exhaustive Outdoor Shower Roundup – It makes my list because it is a great resource for me and when I look back at it, I can’t think of anything more to add.
3) I wrapped up a huge undertaking earlier in the year, and I am still proud that I made it through the whole thing. There were 50 plants that are great gardens natives in each of the 50 states. Hopefully you can find something useful there. Whew. 50 States – 50 Native Plants
4) I think I got as much satisfaction from sharing my own summer garden project with you as I did actually completeing it and sharingit with my family and friends. I am looking forward to doing alot more projects and sharing them with you in 2011. Check out My own Studio ‘g’ Summer 2011 Circle patio and Firepit Garden Project
And finally — I look back with a little laugh at my first post of last year (above) …. I spent hours….and hours and hours….looking for these letters. I had plans to spell out a much longer message and the obsessive searching really got out of control. I ultimately went with Happy New Year – straight and simple. This year, I am taking it as a reminder to myself – don’t sweat the small stuff. Keep it straight and simple -it’s usually is one of the best options.
