How much CO2 is actually absorbed by a tree?
Nitipak Samsen has designed a tool to measure. The tree measuring tape translates how much CO2 is absorbed by the tree into conceivable activities rather than hard to imagine grams of CO2. For example an hour on a flight or 2 days of breathing. The Tree Tape, can be downloaded from Samsen’s website and each can be customised for the appropriate tree and activity. It’s great for kids and schools or anyone interested in knowing exactly how much an individual tree is contributing to the environment.
And BTW, I discovered this via Giardini Ribelli who very kindly, recently, awarded me a stylish blogger meme …I have had little time to participate in the meme itself, but wanted to make sure to share with you her blog as it is a great place for some interesting design inspirations….its worth checking out the mind bending recent post about pots that grow chairs….click here to see what I mean…..
