So I have a favor to ask….I was nominated for a list of the Top 25 Home Design Moms and I need some votes. Have I mentioned recently that I am mom? 😉
The thing about these things are that they kinda matter (perhaps more than they should) to us bloggers. When you are sitting in your house writing away and you hardly never meet all the wonderful people who actually support you, things like comments, google analytics numbers and odd internet awards start to mean a lot. They are feedback that is hard to come by in a world void of other present adults. My kids are often sitting right next to me while I write. They are a big part of me and this site (though you might not know it) and so being recognized for the fact that I am not only a worthy design blogger (and might I add, the only one nominated that talks about the garden & landscapes) but also that I do it with little people running circles around me, is validation. It’s validation that I am not crazy and that there are others out there trying to do the same and that we all are (hopefully) having a positive impact on our world – beyond our kitchen tables.
So, if you don’t mind, can you click on over to circle of moms, and vote for me and others. It would make me feel great, and it’s a great way to introduce yourself to some other lovely sites.
Like this morning, as I was checking out some of the other nominees, I came across this ….
Little Isabella, of Isabella and Max, and her fabulous ‘magnolia leaf and fence’ art has sent my design brain off in all sorts of new directions. She has me thinking about ways to interactively dress up fences, entertain children and adults and help people express their own artistic sensibility. Pretty good for a two year old!
(hey, and you can vote daily….so bookmark it and go back again tomorrow)
Done – and good luck! Kind of sad there aren’t more “exterior design” sites included, but it makes your great blog stand out all the more.
that is darling!
I love your blog – I’m voting every day. You post the most interesting garden design ideas. Keep up the great work! I’m so glad glad your site is dedicated to outdoor, landscape design and outdoor ideas. There are way too many blogs and way too many TV shows that concentrate only on interior design.
