the Book

dig into

Hey There! I’m Rochelle Greayer. I’m a garden designer on TV and IRL. I’m also an author and entrepreneur who thinks she can save the world by teaching everyone a little something about landscape design.

Blogs I Like: April 2011

earthworms lair header

The Earthworms Lair by Owen Dell is one of the smartest and clever blogs around for discussion of Sustainable Landscapes and anything related.

happy homemaker uk header

The happy homemaker is an American expat who is making a new life and new fun in the UK.  It’s fun to follow along on her foreign adventures and share her stories  — it’s a place that you would probably enjoy even if you aren’t a homemaker yourself.

mini garden guru header

You know how there is a blog for everything, it’s just a matter of finding it.  Well, remember that ‘so cool’ mini garden I posted about?  If you want to know anything about creating this yourself, you will become a regular over a Mini Garden Guru.

urban gardens header

Urban Gardens is a great resource for those in with City sized spaces.  The more I write for Apartment Therapy (which has a bit of the same focus) the more I find I am turning to Robin’s blog for a bit of inspiration.

Textile and Terrain — Have I even mentioned that besides being a garden and landscape designivore, I’m also a fabric junkie?  I get it from my mother, she is one too — her fabric habit is however far worse than mine, but I am in no position to point fingers.  So a blog that is written by cousins (who are the daughters of identical twins) that are one, a landscape architect, and the other a PhD in Textile Art is remarkably right up my alley.  They spend their free time creating Textile and Terrain as well as doing flowers for weddings and events.

mixed greens header

Mixed Greens,  another team blog by Poppy and Sally shares gardens, local resources, sustainability tips, and beautiful photography. The whole site is a refreshing breath of air.

angela richie ace camp journal header

and finally…..

Ace Camps are vacations where you learn and create from the BEST, the most POPULAR and the most INTERESTING leaders.

I want to attend an Angela Ritchie Ace Camp, I would love to teach an Angela Richie Ace Camp, and in the current absence of both those opportunities, I will read her blog daily.

I have a few more posts for you today, but I simply must take a break — I am headed to the dentist, where hopefully he will not tell me that I need to have root canal of something awful.  I am hoping he might be able to magically cure this awful toothache I have that is getting worse by the minute!!
