Truly a life-long plantsman, Matt was raised (and still lives on) his family property in Massachusetts where three generations of gardeners have lived, and grown.  Today, he has added his thumbprint with a large glass greenhouse, an alpine garden and interesting collections of plants.
His popular blog GROWING WITH PLANTS has been featured in the pages of Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes & Gardens  and CNN.com.
Matt spends his free time traveling to plant-centric locations (next trip – Patagonia), always looking for inspiration, and of course, new content for his many ventures. He is currently President of  the North American Rock Garden Society, has spent time as editor of the American Primrose Society journal, and is an active board member on many plant societies and botanic gardens.
