Wow! this live moss carpet designed by Nguyen La Chanh is such a novel idea.   I love the idea of bringing nature into the home and actually living with it – in the sense of giving the plants a greater purpose…rather than living around it – in the sense of having them around to water and just look at.  The moisture that seeps into the mat nourishes the moss. No more damp, smelly bathroom mats to contend with. I think it is very pretty.  They aren’t commercially available but over at yanko design, there is a discussion with the designer on how he made it.
