Wicker Art for Trees

Another thing I discovered over at Caro and Alain, These beautiful wicker vases around the bases of the trees in the town of Bercy in France.

I am not so sure I like the bit at the bottom (to heavy looking)  but I am really enjoy the over sized vase structure in general and the way that it looks on a line of street trees.

The vases were creaed by Vannerie.

Those are very interesting, I have never seen those before. I could definitely see using that in a commercial application or if a client had large trees within a patio area. They ivy softens a bit, and I wonder about the long term effect on the material / tree if left untamed.
