walled garden makeover path

Naila Green Garden Design in Devon England created this stunning transformation of a walled garden.   ‘Go Big or Go Home’ is generally a good motto in Garden Design (at least in my general opinion).  The bold use of alliums and purple huechera create a very dramatic and cohesive planting scheme that plays quite nicely with the new minty green house trim.

And I think this illustrates a little point about walls and other garden structures.  Sometimes it can seem that if something is in at least decent repair it should be maintained, but I find this to be rather limiting thinking….these ugly breeze bock walls with the red brick caps are providing no value to this garden – and I think ditching them was a stroke of good vision.
