There isn’t anything more charming to me than people who march to the beat of their own drums. Don Parr has loved movies and theater since he his first job as a projectionist at the age of 16 and now, at the age of 81, he operates a garden based, 14 seat, 40’s style theater — in his own backyard.
Don Parr’s Garden shed cinema keeps him from having to pay for theater trips but it is also frequented by a local stream of movie goers. The British pensioner spent £10,000 to convert his 18′ x 9′ shed into a fully-outfitted movie theater complete with genuine salvaged cinema seats and a 6′ 6″ x 3′ 3″ screen.
While I think it would be better if those trellis actually had something pretty growing on them…I still think it is a pretty sweet idea.

I’m worried that if my husband sees this he might get ideas for his own retirement.
