Made over by the Brazilian television show, Caldeirão, the Eunice family not only has a new garden, but a repaired car, entrepreneurial assistance for the sewing shop that they run out of the top floor of their home and a new business website (Costura Unida)! (Wow for Brazilian TV taking such a holistic approach for a makeover). And to top it all off, recycled materials were used throughout.
This was not small challenge — Dona Eunice, and her husband have been taking care of the neediest in their community for many years. In addition to taking custody of 27 abandoned children (so this is the family home of 29 people!) in their poverty stricken neighborhood, they also employ mothers with a sewing cooperative and provide day care facilities for nearby families. For all their good deeds they were rewarded with a sustainable TV makeover.
