Wedding Garden – Before and After

April 18, 2012

CONNECT:

I work at the intersection of design, horticulture, culture, and systems—helping people and institutions think clearly, act deliberately, and create lasting impact.

Between a lot of  special events and travel and school vacation week, I am really struggling to maintain a normal working schedule (apologies for aberrant postings).   I also still have wedding stuff on the brain….(because of last weekend’s trip to NYC to dress shop with my friend).  Casting about for dresses for the littles, I came across this beautiful idea that I thought you fellow garden enthusiasts might love as much as I do.

This was done at Rachel and Karl’s wedding Melbourne… I love how gardens carry such perfect symbology and the fact that everyone can draw a flower….but I also think the final painting, created by their guests,  is something that will grace their home and be a wonderful reminder a special day.

  1. In a similar vein, an artist friend took home all our flowery wedding gift wrap and used it to create a wonderful artwork that combines the papers with her whimsical pastel drawing of a home and garden.
