I have been trying to decide what color to paint our barn for at least a few years now (the poor barn is getting quite desperate for some paint!).  It is currently dark brown and I had considered going to an even darker (almost black) and then I moved on to a pale green (with white trim) and them more recently I am thinking white with black trim….and this garden makeover is giving me a bit of confidence about that decision. 

Some may say that it is bold to go to black — but I think it is equally brave to go white from black.  It is such a dramatic difference that it is hard to say how you will feel about it when it is all done.   I love black buildings but the white here just feels so fresh and relaxing and pleasant, its hard to imagine it any other way.

Cherry really made this a true outdoor room and sweet container garden.  I love all the pinks and the girly charm that  the white allows.
