When I found this awesome shed makeover last week I knew you guys were going to love it. I’ve always held a special place in my heart for sheds…I think it’s because they’re pretty much like forts for adults. And really, who doesn’t want their own fort to escape to on hot summer days? And since I don’t have a shed [fort?] of my own yet, I like to live vicariously through those who do. The before photo features the original shed which definitely held it’s own in the department of rustic charm. But Diane’s beautifully remodeled shed is a real showstopper.
I told you it was good. I love the rich golden tone of the new siding and the mature plants that hug the edges. Oh, and the coolest part? Their siding came from 5 spruce trees in their yard that had to be cut down. The trees were made into planks that were then stacked flat to dry out in their old shed for an entire year! That’s some serious dedication. I’m sure I don’t have to mention that a ton of work has gone into this project since the beginning. If you want to check out the entire process or see what it looks like inside, you should head over to her blog. It’s well worth a visit. Awesome job, Diane! I love it. –erin
