I’ve been a fan of the amazing Jenn Ski for quite some time now, and when I saw that she bought this fabulous Mid-Century house a few years ago, I couldn’t wait to see what she would do with the space. The house is seated on a beautifully wooded lot which is shaded by a variety of mature trees. Off to the side of the house is a stone patio, which provided a great foundation for relaxing…especially once she gave it some attention.
After a little work, this is the new patio Jenn and her husband are enjoying. They finished removing the remainder of a shrub and replaced it with mulch and ornamental grass. The area to the left of the walkway was cleaned up and laid out in a more orderly fashion and it looks like some new plants may have been added as well. Of course, the table and chairs go a long way, and the umbrella hides them from the afternoon sun. Being that the sun and I don’t get along so well, I’m a huge fan of shade gardens, so this one has been a favorite of mine for awhile. Lovely job, Jenn! –erin
