Today’s post is a little different than most of my Before & Afters, but I thought it was good timing with the much anticipated arrival of spring. We’re going to visit a lovely screen porch, and while a space like this offers a great place to entertain when the weather is still cool, it wouldn’t be much of a crowd pleaser if it’s left as a desolate stretch of screen and cement. I think Bonnie did a really nice job with her transformation and it definitely got me thinking about my own porch!
And as you can see, she really brightened things up! The cheery, candy colored accents are exhilarating and I like that she went with natural tones for the rug and furniture. I think the chair cushions, pillows and lanterns really pull it all together. The fire pit does make me a little nervous being in such a confined area so close to the house, and as a firefighter I feel like I had to at least mention that, but I do still love what she did with the space! Lots of fun and very comfy. So…do you have any ideas for your own porch this spring? –erin

You really changed the nature and character of the space. I love the transformation.
Love those colors!
Beautiful and inviting! But don’t use that fire pit there.
