Garden Party

6/08/2013

Despite the rain, I am busy readying my home and garden to welcome friends and family for a rocking garden/ barn party this evening.

It is my birthday next week, so we are celebrating.  Are you hosting any garden parties this summer?  I wrote over on Apartment Therapy earlier this week about tips to help you get your garden ready….and some lovely readers offered even more (and better) ideas too.  Check it out.  And feel free to add your tips here or there too.

My birthday is next week as well – the 16th is my 40th. It was raining here in Virginia for days, but the skies cleared for a nice evening this Saturday so I had friends over to celebrate early. I like to make a chili or something that can be prepped ahead of time so I can enjoy my party too!
    Happy Birthday!

I had a garden party yesterday. The weather was perfect, the garden is at it’s peak, and a good time was had by all.
