If you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you probably know that I’m a big time shade-lover….and I’m also a sucker for a great side yard makeover. The colors always look good in person and never washed out like they do in the sun and it’s never too bright! So when I found this sweet before and after over at Rachel’s Gardens I was pretty excited to share it as this week’s Before & After.

after, side yard, landscape, makeover, path

A charming new path leads the way to a presumably gorgeous back yard. I really love those steps and the flagstone that follows. It looks like they also turned the tree area into more of a focal point and it’s cool how it appears to be sunken down a bit, since the bordering path is a little higher than the ground. Cool. Nice work, Rachel! -erin

  1. I love your before and after posts. I like the tips and inspirations they provide. The path and use of flagstone is very impressive.

Wow , That’s an amazing makeover.
While the road and the steps adds a new dimension to the yard,
I must admin that the small garden , next to the steps – has more effect in making this yard more than just sand and grass.
