I am soooo impressed with Ana’s  ingenuity!  She lives in Alaska and when she saw the Wetherby sectional from potterybarn (and fell in sofa love) she got resourceful and decided to build her own.

The full Weatherby costs over $5000 dollars and while Ana only built the smaller sofa section (about half the trouble and materials) — she spent $35 on materials and $189 (on sale) for cushions.  Lets extrapolate that for a minute….she could have built the whole thing for under $500 — that is more than 90% off retail (nevermind the shipping to alaska!)  Who doesn’t love DIY now?

You can do the same — but even easier, because she has already worked out all the plans, drawn up nice detailed drawings and has made spiffy step by step instructions.
