My vacation is wrapping up in a few days….but the part where I was traveling by pick-up truck and sleeping in a tent has officially ended. Our last stop was just outside of Crested Butte, Colorado where the annual wildflower festival was in full swing. Crested Butte is the self proclaimed Wildflower Capitol of Colorado (and I would not argue this point) and the week long annual event incorporates lectures, jeep tours to the high country, art classes, gardening talks, hikes, garden tours, and there are even yoga classes offered in the middle of mountain wildflower meadow. I wish I had more time to take in more than just the street flowers and I plan to head back another summer for the full experience.
