You know those funky little v-vase shaped wooden trellis’ that come shoved in grow pots with climbers? They do the job long enough to get the plant out of the nursery — but you know what I am talking about when I say — only just.
But the idea of a pot based trellis that is actually fully functional — but also attractive…why didn’t I think of that? French Designer Arik Levy did and he is making them quite handsome. I can easily imagine a dainty white jasmine (I have no idea why I am so jasmine obsessed lately) strung delicately over the grey version. I can move it outside in the summer and in for the winter.
Flora, a German company with a fabulous collection of interesting garden products has teamed up with Arik and other designers to create a beautiful line of trellis systems that also go way beyond the fiddly little sicks we are all used to. “Comb-ination,” is inspired by honeycomb and it works as a grid that you can organize any way you like.
