Sofia is a graduate of The Bromfield School in Harvard, MA and a current sophomore at Simmons College, double majoring in Spanish and communications with a focus in journalism. Instead of returning to Boston this autumn, however, she’ll be spending the year studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. She looks forward to experiencing a new culture, improving her fluency in Spanish, traveling around the continent as much as she can, snapping photos, and writing about her adventures. Cooking and baking are among her hobbies, and she loves to shop local farmers markets for fresh ingredients to prepare good food. When not at home, she enjoys going for meandering walks around Boston and Cambridge, poring over a book in the public library or a park, volunteering her time at various organizations, and writing articles, short stories and everything in between.
