I came across this great sideyard makeover over on Emily’s blog last week and knew you guys would enjoy it. Emily’s family and their neighbors have been hanging out in this space for a little over a year now. What started off as a typical yard that divides 2 properties has come together into a really cool shared space that’s perfect for entertaining. And even though they were still working on it at the time the photo was taken, I think you’ll still appreciate the “after” shot.
Pretty great, yeah? Those leaf-green adirondacks really pull the whole thing together…she swept them up at Home Depot for just under $30 a pop, threw some paint on them and called it a day. Emily is lucky enough to have some really cool neighbors, too. One of them came up with the design and they even had help with the grunt work and shopping! On her blog she talks about sharing the patio with their neighbors on a regular basis. Sounds like they have a lot of fun evenings…nice job, Emily! -erin
