Melbourne International Flower Show

When is it? The Melbourne International Flower Show will take place from April 1 to April 5th 2009. 

Ticketing?  $20 Aus Dollars.
Indoors/Outdoors,  Facility? Indoor and Outdoor. Staged within the world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building and surrounding south Carlton Gardens in Carlton.  Organizers claim to be ranked in the top five flower shows in the world.

Featuring the best landscape and floral talent that Australia has to offer along side an extensive array of garden retail products, the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show is a celebration of Australian lifestyle and our great outdoors.

Size? Attracts more than 100,000 visitors from Australia and beyond.

Organizer?  IMG (International Management Group of America Ltd) coordinates and markets the event in partnership with The Nursery & Garden Industry Victoria and Flowers Victoria.  See their website.

History?  The world renowned flower and garden Show is entering its 14th year and is now regarded as the largest and most successful horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere.

Responses to the show…My own opinion of the show – if I have been there…reviews, blog comments…whatever I can find from people who have actually attended or participated: I haven’t been, but there are a couple of articles at Suite 101 talking about the show.
