Daily Garden 021: An Old West London Neighbor

I saw this garden on The Design Blog this morning and recognized it immediately. I used to live a few blocks from this place and have walked by it a few times…so intrigued by the design but always trying to fully understand what was going on…now I get it.

The car goes underneath…I thought that was what was happening…but I hadn’t seen the full progression…cool.

Even more nifty than the ‘bury your car underground’ gadget  is those excellent walls. The grass and the stacked wood are stunning.

  1. That is sooo James Bond. When I win the lottery…. Actually, I’d just be happy if 401k gets back to where it was two years ago…

every time I walked by it was all closed up…but you could tell something was going on…my friend had told me she walked by and it was open….but I just assumed it was a cover over a steeply inclined driveway to a basement garage….didn’t imagine that it was this elevator thing until I saw the pictures. But yes…this house does exist…
