Daily Garden 055: By Day & By night

July 11, 2009

CONNECT:

I work at the intersection of design, horticulture, culture, and systems—helping people and institutions think clearly, act deliberately, and create lasting impact.

I love this pair of shots of the same garden by day and by night. It is so hard to find a night garden shot that isn’t from some light fixture catalog….all weirdly lit and only about the fixtures. This shot captures the fun party atmosphere that I am sure would prevail in this garden after the sun goes down as well as the serenity that it has during the day.

I found these images over at coco+kelley and Tara Sharps facebook page (respectively) – which BTW are two places that I am completely obsessed with at the moment.
The garden however belongs to Heather Taylor, who has a very cool looking gallery called Taylor DeCordoba, in LA and a great blog called LA in Bloom. At coco+kelly, there is a great write up from Heather about her garden and some nice food shots to go along with it.
