I am so pleased that Harrison Howard contacted me after he stumble upon Studio ‘g’ while looking for inspiration for his upcoming series of paintings (more on that in a moment).
Harrison’s work is inspired by flowers and gardens and as an artist I find his own take on the subject on his paintings to be be reversely inspiring back (does that make sense?). I mean while he is inspired by gardens and flowers, I think his paintings can hold some inspiration for garden designers and florists.
So here is the exciting thing. Harrison is planning a new series of paintings that will feature imagined garden follies. He came across studio ‘g’ when he discovered a ‘can you make this into a garden post’ that feautred an antler folly. I am so interested to see how the inspiration will translate.
As the new series is completed, Harrison is going to share them with us, so we can be some of the first to see his newest art. Isn’t that exciting!
You can find out more about Harrison and his work (which includes some non garden realted stuff too) on his website, where you can also buy a glicee print of your favorite pieces.
I love them. My favorite is the pagoda lantern.
