Daily Garden: Brita Schoenaich’s Simple Town Garden

I simply adore the utter simplicity of this town garden designed by Brita von Shoenaich.  I love that all the plants die back to nothing allowing the clean lines of the steps to shine through in the winter and the bulbs to take center stage in the spring.

I have to admit, I am beside myself for words to describe how much I truly enjoy this design….what do you think?  Do you like as much as I do? why?

  1. Jacqui says:

I agree, the seasonal dynamism of this garden is effortless and truly revolutionary!

  2. Spectacular! I love that there is no clear boundry between path and flower bed — especially in the summer scene. I’m kind of obsessed with that right now — trying to find ways to blur the edges of all the spaces in my garden so they flow together rather than it being a crisp line — lawn here, flower there. And this is great inspiration for that. Love it!
