Hey There! I’m Rochelle Greayer. I’m a garden designer on TV and IRL. I’m also an author and entrepreneur who thinks she can save the world by teaching everyone a little something about landscape design.

Grass Sculpture

You know the trend…vertical gardens, grass images, green everything….well grassland is getting in on it with a line of cool grass products.  The orbs can be used to give interiors an earthy glam vibe, even after they die from such unnatural growing conditions, they paint them green and call them art.  It’s resourceful, I like it.

The wall letters can spell out what ever you want….(kinda cool, I think, that they happened to have the Greayer Design Associates ‘g’ on their website)

The grass seeds grow not on soil but on various materials- using water and light only. The roots intertwine and form a joint area that, with the aid of the specific technique of drying, will stick even on stainless steel.
“The special appeal of it is to make visible the concept of change and the transitory nature of things” according to Bernd Oette (the creator). “My initial attempts to work with grass resulted in this project largely due to the responses that I got from people close to me who were fascinated by the grass objects”. Oette, personally produces all objects as limited editions.
