My favorite part about writing a weekly Before & After post is that I find some really fantastic blogs, and this week I came across one that had my attention the minute I saw that the house is situated on a 5 acres of beautiful mature trees. The homeowners Ben and Amanda of 12 Oaks are on a serious mission to transform their 1960’s abode into one they can really be proud of, and I think they are well on their way to doing so.
They spent a weekend working hard as they added 105 plants that were picked up at a local nursery for a song. Alongside the plants are 450 lb boulders which are sunk into beds of fresh mulch. You might also notice the gorgeous wooden door and new porch furniture which were added before the new landscaping. It looks like a pretty sweet spot to hang out if you ask me! Here’s a closeup:
Yep, I love it. Nice work, Amanda and Ben! Check out their blog to see what else they’ve done….it’s all pretty great. –erin
