Since I discovered this Brandon Rud garden online last week, I have been tempted so many times to share it with you — not as a Thursday special Before and After, but just because I can’t stand it any longer. It has taken willpower to try and stick with my vague semblance of an editorial schedule. This garden is like an ice cream cone, begging to be licked. So, Ahhh….it’s finally Thursday and in sticking with my makeover Thursday thing,(*Lick*) I can share this wildly interesting and completely beautiful garden.
Located in Venice California, the garden features a slowly trickling 13ft tall water feature that also provides birdbaths, a turtle sanctuary and a Koi Pond. That burlap bound planting thing is actually a live grass bench with herbs tucked throughout (heaven!) . The winding paths, made from recycled concrete pieces, lead to pink buildings and a tucked away garden day-bed. In short, quirky garden perfection personified.
