Sometimes I find the most interesting things when people leave comments. I always follow the links back to commenter’s sites or wherever is mentioned in the comment and new places I might never have discovered pop along my path. Like this morning….Helen over at the design inspiration stencil library commented on Hebes and at her site I discovered this lovely piece of garden art – furniture.
The concrete chesterfield. I sooooo want one to find/create the perfect garden for this piece. It’s awesome real-ness is extraordinary — apparently there is even the relief of a 50p coin tucked between the cushions.
It was created by Gray Concrete of Edinburgh Scotland and is available for purchase. Click through for more images.
NO WAY!
Fab – I tweeted about this, only to be pointed in the direction of some rather fab brick versions here http://www.jacksonharris.co.uk/sofaidx.htm
do you know this?

….on air!
ciao Dana
Found your site this morning as I was searching for designer furniture pieces & great ideas.
Last year, my career took a slight change in course from pro photography, marketing & niche market magazine design ~ to creating custom brushed steel home & office pieces from vintage metal cabinets for industrial loft apartment dwellers. My biggest success are my brushed steel, vintage locker media consoles. Created from two tier lockers and 12×12 box lockers, they make uber-industrial looking cabinets in sizes ranging from 36″ up to 72″
From the outside, it seems like a wildly different business – but I still see it as selling artistic services and products to clients who value my unique ideas and efforts to repurpose items that might otherwise end up in the trash.
Take a look at my Etsy.com shop online if you’re interested: http://www.wesbenn.etsy.com
Keep up the great work on your site~
