When I travel, I love to shop, and while I recognize that some of my ‘discoveries’ are as ubiquitous in that place as pottery Barn is in the US, it doesn’t matter to me because I know when I get my treasures home it will be unique in my own corner of the world and I will always have a memory of where it came from and the joy of discovering it.
Years ago, I discovered the French store, Le Cedre Rouge near the Le Bon Marche in Paris. I suspect a french person might find this store not so unique, but I loved it and return every time I am in the neighborhood for a ‘frenchified’ look at garden decor, table settings and a taste of french outdoor lifestyle. This is what I found recently.
I would like to escape for a moment to the french garden of my imagination where outside my stone cottage, this charming chair hangs from a stately Ash and I can wander out whenever I need a relaxing swing.
Ohhh, I just got the Fermob catalog a few weeks ago, and I must look through it at least once a day. Their furniture is so cute, and their photography gets me through cold/gray days when I cannot be outside.
