Eventful weekend…

March 13, 2009

CONNECT:

I work at the intersection of design, horticulture, culture, and systems—helping people and institutions think clearly, act deliberately, and create lasting impact.

Forgive me please for being light on the daily posts the last couple of days.  I have been busy with a big event going off this weekend.  You may have noticed the Farmers Market blog link with the ‘coming soon’ note over on the right….well a couple of years ago I started (with a couple of friends) and continue to manage a farmers market (the biggest in central Mass after 2 years…I have to brag).   Anyway, we are holding our first ever scavenger hunt fundraiser tomorrow Afternoon- evening.  The proceeds will go towards two things, our operating expenses and market fee scholarships for our smallest and most profitless farmers.    If you are going to be in the I495 – Rt 2 area, and are up for a really good crazy time, please consider joining us tomorrow afternoon…

And the farmers market blog — about all things farmers market related….will be up soon.

So for $20 pp- you get 3.5 hours of crazy mad fun with your team of friends – free pool while we tally results, food, prizes, and a band that will take us into the night…. A serious bargain in these tough times…

It is a ‘Green’ inspired event, in honor of the holiday du jour and the green goals that we have for our market.  For more information about how to join us go to the Harvard Farmers Market website and click on the scavenger hunt information in the tan bar on the right.

Sunday I am planning to attend the Mass Hort’s Blooms event that is replacing this years New England spring flower show….and will hopfully come away with a renewed sense of  garden design  industry in New England.
