Inspired By Nature: Kathleen Dustin

The topic of taking inspiration from one place to create something new and amazing in another never ceases to amaze me.  These bags, clearly inspired by nature and flowers, are the creative work of Kathleen Dustin of New Hampshire.  They are made of polymer clay and they are truly exquisite.  Kathleen’s bags are inspired by gardens which is what lead me to her, but I am inspired by her – particularly her most recent blog post about perseverance in a weak economy…..yes, I would have to agree, there is always a market for excellence and craftsmen will survive.  Good to remember.

Kathleen is an amazing craftswoman….I would love to attend a formal event, exquisitely dressed, carrying the Nigella pod bag (above) or really any of these beautiful hands bags.

Spread the love
