I KNOW that orange freaks some people out and certainly it is a bold choice for a front door.
As you might know, my front door (on my nearly black house) is orange and I LOVE that color combo. But after looking at this house makeover, I have decided that orange and grey might even be better. I think Lauren and I are kindred spirits in embracing the orange.

I can’t wait to see it in the summer. This BTW, is only one small part of a huge makeover of the whole interior of the house. (and it is pretty fab and worth checking out, over at Lauren Leiss’s pure style home.)
I am also a fan of her endlessly inspiring Instagram account. If you live in Virginia (as she does) it will strike a particularly regional sense of style.
Love that orange door with the gray!
Hi! I was going to paint my front door red, but then was coming across photos of orange doors. Our home is gray and I think I may just go for the orange! Your front door looks fab. Would you please tell me what brand/color of paint you chose?
Thank you so much!
Wow – I don’t remember — I can tell you it was a benjamin moore paint — and will take a look in the paint cal stack to see if there was any left with the color label.
