I am all around the world today – taking inspiration from Brazil and now Sweden. Perhaps I have a little cabin fever as I sit here in my snow bound house.
Over at Purple Area, I discovered this book Kreativa kvadrameter (translation: Creative Square Meters) by Ulrika Grönlund – Eklund Cecilia. I am not sure how to get my hands on it though. It is a Swedish garden design book and the images alone are enough to sell me on buying a copy.
Typically, I am still obsessed with black in the garden – or at least black on the house and what looks good around it. This black nook with white details and green ivy everywhere is precisely where I would rather be right now. (instead of in my kitchen with the blasting furnace — a futile to effort to ward off subzero temps outside).
The children’s garden ideas are also appealing to me. Do you know children who play like this? Mine don’t, but I think they would. I am going to head over to ebay and see what kind of treasures I might be able to score for them to use in their own garden scenes.
Let me know if you have thoughts about how to find or import this book.
Maybe contact Amazon UK and see if they will list copies?

I emailed my friend who lives in Amsterdam to see if it’s available there.
