I am currently obsessing over Jekka McVicar. Between her beautiful chelsea flower booth where herbs looked prettier than I have ever seen them look before and the opportunity to peruse her herb cookbook while in London — I am smitten. I have plenty of herbs, but now thanks to Jekka, I am planting even more…and new things like Tansy, Goats Rue, Teasle, Angelica, and Borage. I can’t wait to try out some of the amazing concoctions in her books with this new garden treasures.
My favorite herbs are tarragon (to use in pan sauces over chicken or fish) and lemon thyme which I use every where. Do you grow herbs? What is your favorite? How do you use it?
Be careful – teasel is on many states’ official invasive species lists. It’s everywhere where I live. I’ll bet you can find it where you are too without inviting it into your garden. You’ll never be rid of it. You’ll also have lots of tansy and borage but they’re much easier to handle.
Thank you so much fro sharing the book name.As owner of Himalayan Gardens,I will surely buy this book to get some brilliant idea on gardening.
Thanks again.
This would have to be one of the best books I have ever brought about garden herbs. Highly recommended.
