I am taking this blogging class for the next month that started Monday. Introductions are overwhelming as everyone has a a lovely blog and I just don’t have time in the day for exploring all of them. Though I will get to it all in time….
Anyway one of the first sites that I discovered through the class was Hardraker and Pope…and in particular a post about a flower and produce show that they will be holding in their English town in the Cotswolds. The idea is so cute and clearly being of like minds, I had to copy it. As different interests and aspects of my life weave and intertwine themselves, I want to use my little platforms of ‘Market Manger’ and ‘Blogger’ and ‘Business Owner’ to not only encourage future gardeners – but also future garden designers, future entrepreneurs and children that will grow to adults that are unafraid to make their own path…especially if that path lies outside of ‘corporate’ life. So we decided hold a kids weekend at the market and encourage children to come and sell their home grown goods. Since I saw the post at Hardraker and Pope, we are adding a county fair competition type element to the event… here is the flyer that I am shamelessly copying for school backpack insertion. I clearly haven’t ‘Americanized’ – I don’t really want to….I am finalizing later this week, so if you have ideas for additions please post here and also over at Sarah and Jo’s blog too.
