I am participating in a little blogging fun with Soliloquy . Nancy is posting pictures from bloggers of their first snow fall. I wanted to participate in November, but the small amount of snow flakes that we got, never amounted to enough that I could take a picture before they were gone. Then we had the ice storm…which is far from the softness of snow, and I quickly tired of talking about it and the brutally devastating weather in general. I have been ready to move to Florida for almost a month now. But then this snow came and I took this picture out my kitchen window as the sun came up. Sometimes on a clear day in the winter I can see the glimmer of sunlight on the buildings of the city of Boston in the distance. But in this shot, they are right about where the sun is. This was the first time this year I got joy out of snow. All the ugliness and sadness of ice storm devastation was covered and softened by the snow and the morning light. I was happy until I look slightly to the left and saw the Hickory tree that still lays over the top of patio….
Your photos are spectacular — I’ll add your snowfall to the rest. Thanks for participating!
They are beautiful. The sun peeking through the trees with giving golden highlights to the trees.
